If you said yes to any of these questions, you will want to attend this presentation. Mr. Fred Grevin of the New York City Economic Development Corporation will be joining us as he presents to the Chapter, The Fundamentals of Digital Preservation.

Fred Grevin is Vice-President, Records Management, for the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC). Fred is responsible for developing corporate strategies and policies for records management, in particular the management of electronic records.

Prior to joining NYCEDC, Fred served in other City positions, including Deputy Commissioner and Chief Information Officer of the New York City Department of Records and Information Services, and Director of the Office of Records and Archives Management at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection. Fred is also a lecturer, currently teaching a course in Digital Preservation at the Graduate School of Library and Information Studies, Queens College, City University of New York.

Fred is a Participating Member of the U.S. Technical Advisory Group (TAG) to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) TC171, “Document Management applications”, and a Participating Member to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards Committee for the U.S. National Standard NFPA 232, “Protection of Records”. Furthermore, Fred is a member of ARMA International, the Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM), the Society for Imaging Science and Technology (IS&T), the Archivists Round Table of New York City, the computer Society of the IEEE, and is an Associate Member of the French Federation Nationale des Tiers de Confiance (Trusted Third-Party Federation).
