As information continues to grow and become more accessible, how do we know what information is true and known to be authentic? Adam Jansen, State Archivist for the State of Hawaii will help us dissect what goes into maintaining trustworthy records in the digital age.
Adam Jansen is the State Archivist for the State of Hawaii and is Principal Consultant for Praxeum Group, Inc. Adam has extensive knowledge and experience in Information Management, specializing in records management, maintenance and trustworthiness of records, and digital preservation. Adam is also a lecturer in Archives for the LIS department at the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Prior to his current role, Adam served as Deputy State Archivist for Washington State Office of the Secretary of State, State Archives Division where he successfully designed, built and managed Washington’s State Digital Archives program. Adam is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Philosophy, Archival Studies, from the University of British Columbia.
